Mobile Medical Dispensary

Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Rajkot has been serving the needy by conducting various medical activities in the rural areas, since 1993. Every Sunday, under the banner of Shri Ramakrishna Seva Samiti, doctors with paramedical staff and volunteers along with teachers go to nearby villages in a Medical Van. Prescription & medicines are given free of cost.

Near about 100 patients are treated on each visit. After the primary medical care, the poor & needy patients are offered further treatment, through other medical services of the Ashrama like eye-care, physiotherapy etc.

During these trips, teachers and volunteers conduct value education classes aimed at the all-round development of the youth in the villages. The idea is to enrich the life of the poor masses by offering medical aid to the sick and better culture and man-making thoughts for their minds.

Villages getting the benefit every Sunday are mentioned below:

• Sardhar village : 25 km. away from the Ashrama: 90 to 95 patients are benefited.

• Dhandhani village : 20 km. away from the Ashrama: 90 to 95 patients are benefited.

• Jodiya village : 70 km. away from the Ashrama: 60 to 70 patients are benefited.

• Sardhar Camp : 25 km. away from the Ashrama: 90 to 95 patients are benefited.

• Dhandhani Camp : 20 km. away from the Ashrama: 90 to 95 patients are benefited.

• Jodiya Camp : 70 km. away from the Ashrama: 60 to 70 patients are benefited.
